St John's Church is a stunning wedding venue and can seat over 200 in the main nave. Our traditional church organ and talented organist create the most beautiful music - adding a real sense of grandeur and excitement to your big day. There are some things about marrying in church you just can't get anywhere else. It's your wedding, let us help you make it personal, spiritual and beautiful.
All who live in the parish are welcome to marry at St John's Church, whatever your beliefs, whether or not you are baptised (christened) and regardless of whether you come to church or not. It's your church and we welcome you.
I give you this ring as a sign of our marriage. With my body I honour you, all that I am I give to you, and all that I have I share with you, within the love of God, Father, son and Holy Spirit.
If you are interested in getting married at St John's please get in contact to discuss your requirements with Father David. St John's can host the largest of weddings or smaller more personal occasions. If you have children we welcome them too and can even offer a service of Marriage and Thanksgiving for the Gift of a Child or we can design a service to include and involve your children.
Father David will meet with you to discuss your requirements, to get to know you and help plan your big day. Because of the relationship that will develop with Father David, your wedding will be made truly memorable and meaningful. If you are interested in getting married at St John's please do get in touch.
