Chamber Choir Hymnia

The award winning Danish chamber choir, Hymnia, will present a concert entitled "A capella masterpieces" at St John's on Friday 18th July, commencing at 8pm. Music will include Olivier Messiaen's "Cinq Rechants", Jaakko Mäntyjärvi's "Canticum calamitas maritimae", Einojuhani Rautavaara's "Lorca Suite", plus works by Eric Whitacre, Benjamin Britten, Charles Villiers Stanford and Howard Skempton.

Bible Study

Bible study takes place on Wednesdays at 8pm, in church. The group will study the Gospel of St John. For more information please contact Richard Southern.

Church Toddler Group

Every Sunday morning at 10am we have a pre-school toddler group held in the parish room at the church.

This group is one where you come with your child and meet other parents and children of your faith. There are plenty of toys for your child to play with and it is a good opportunity to introduce them into church life. It is also a chance for you to both to make some new friends and at the same time experience Sunday morning worship. So do come along and join us. You will be made to feel most welcome and we are sure you will both enjoy it!

Sunday School

Our Sunday School is held on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month. This is an opportunity for your children to hear bible stories, sing hymns and be involved in artwork. It is a chance for them to be introduced to your faith and at the same time have a bit of fun too! The idea is that you drop them off and leave them to it. They do go into the church service towards the end to be with you.
